Flu Shots are Ineffective

So, my dear friend hazeldove was kind enough to point out that I have been m.i.a. on my blog. true dat. It's been a while and there's a number of poor excuses (the first one being that i've been lazy).

Work has also picked up quite a bit compared to the pre-holiday dry spell when it seemed like I had the entire workday to surf the web, blog, and complain about people, but now the government mule is making me work. And I ain't happy about it. I'm bored with my jobbie job - I wanna' work here or here. Especially the former. (Note: they are hiring a communications assistant and that would be an awesome job.)

So hazeldove - do you need to hire a Chicago publishing rep or assistant for your midwest office? I'm available.

In all seriousness - it's been a busy month. My ladyfriend and are going to co-habitate and right now we're getting ready for the move. Last night we painted the spare bedroom "sandstone" - now hazeldove and darkpony have a room of their own when they come to visit. (I wonder when that will be?) When my ladyfriend does move in - i'll be adopting her sweet little kitty kat - Ebby aka puker aka bobcat aka tiger aka princess ebulina aka mreoooooooowwwwwwww.

We also took a vacation to Florida at the end of February - that was nice and relaxing - and neither one of us drank nearly enough to make it seem like it was spring break. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. We didn't quite think our flight would make it back to Chicago without delay because of the blizzard in Chicago the day before. But we did make it back a-okay and just in time for me to come down with the bird flu. Whatever this little bug is, after two full weeks of being sick, I still feel like the shit on the bottom of someone's shoe.

So there you have it - that's why I've been m.i.a. Like everything else that I am way behind on, I promise I'm working on it.
